  • HallowellKitHi That watercolor original sold a few years ago. I do have a large fine art print of the Summer Garden watercolor. It is about 15 x 20 inches, image size on 17 x 22 inch paper. The paper is fine art watercolor paper and printed with archival pigmented inks. Very nice looking print. The signed print is $125. Let me know if you are interested. I am in the process of building out the printshop on my website.
  • Sarah AaronHello! Is this available for purchase?
  • Bill HastyI’m feeling particularly outraged this morning after reading the article in today’s paper regarding the theft of George Floyd Black Lives Matter signs which you so beautifully designed. Your work in bringing social awareness of the ugly face of racism that continues to plague our country is timely and much appreciated. I too want to lock arms with my neighbors in the fight against bigotry and hate by displaying your sign in our yard. Would you kindly advise me how I can purchase a sign. Warm regards to you and your family.
  • Dave BruceWould you happen to know about a bank mural artist of the 1950s who was somewhat legendary around he Kennebunk area? Just looking for his name. We have a painting by him. He painted very seldom, his main thing was the murals. Thank you.
  • Rob MacksGreat work! I just bought a BlackLivesMatters sigh from you. May I post it on my Facebook Page?
  • HallowellKitHi, Yes, Rodman Cart is my father. He turned 90 in April and unfortunately, is no longer painting. My parents still live in Phippsburg.
  • Moira BenzingI have a painting signed by Rodman Cart (it was my Mom's) and would like to know if you are related to the artist? The painting has a description taped to the back reading..."The Kennebec River near Phippsburg Center, ME 1972. Painted by Rodman Cart, Minister of the Congregational Church at Phippsber Center." Any information on the artist and if you are related would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Moira Ben zing

  • Melody GoyerWhat type of varnish did you use?
  • HallowellKitHi The type of paint for outside murals partly depends on what you are painting on. I have outside murals using Golden Acrylics--the colors rated of outside use-- (https://www.goldenpaints.com/technicalinfo/technicalinfo_murals). Using these painted on 100% polyester canvas. Fredrix has a tough version. Right now I am working on one using another fabric, Polytab (PT20R Polytab,) a non-woven synthetic. With Golden acrylics and Nova Color paints. This will be glued to a brick wall. This is the "canvas" used in so many of the Philadelphia murals. Look up Polytab method or Parachute Cloth method for murals. I also have some painted on Alumilite panels. Basically signage panels, kind of like aluminum "plywood". Tow sheets of aluminum with a plastic waffle core. Very light, tough and with an enamel surface to take paint--NEEDS TO BE SANDED before use! On these panels i used 1Shot sign painter enamels. Very tough and lasting very well up here in our Maine weather. (I have test panels outside as well, using Golden acrylics and so far holding up jsut fine after 1 1/2 years. Hope this helps. What's your mural project? chris
