Who will own a piece of the Hallowell mural?  This is a 5-foot piece of the actual mural–or rather it was.

In 2020, after having already painted two thirds of the mural, a dozen things surfaced from local historians and contemporary times—things too important to leave out—Hallowell women from history, important events from years past, current events and key figures that impacted our town.  So this meant a complete redesign so everything wouldn’t seem, well, crammed in. A major overhaul—completely repainting whole sections, moving figures, weaving in new details, adjusting the palette—mucho trabajo.

This 60 x 67 inch Mardi Gras piece from the center of the mural was nearly complete but, unfortunately, no longer fit.  I liked it, a lot, and tried in vain to move it somewhere but it didn’t work.  So here it is so someone can enjoy it. The missing piece of the mural.

100% of the money raised from this raffle will go to help finish the Hallowell Mural.  I am working on the last section now and polishing up details over the winter—making sure every inch is as gorgeous as my brushes can make it.  We will be installing it, at long last, in the early summer of 2022.
